Jardin Correlieu and Croix de Chemin
Since 2002, the land adjacent to the church are the subject of an extensive landscaping project. It is possible to admire the many varieties of plants and shrubs, and a croix de chemin, erected in autumn 2002, in collaboration with the Society for History & Genealogy Shawinigan-Sud. In addition, a unique landscape with views of the Saint-Maurice River, the Shawinigan and the tower of the Energy City just decorate the walk.
Jardin de Curé
Just ahead of the presbytery, the Shawinigan-Sud Horticultural and Ecology Society has created a Cottage garden inspired by the traditional model that we found in France in the 18th century and in Quebec. Traditionally, garden, cross-shaped, ensured the subsistence of the parish priest and was used for decoration of the church with cutted flowers. Also, sometimes cultivated several medicinal plants. The Horticultural Society has chosen to retain the traditional form and plant a beautiful variety of plants and shrubs for a result that will charm visitors. Members of the Society generously ensure the maintenance of this garden.
